PREVENT
At Birchills C of E Community Academy we all have a role to play and we all have a responsibility to act in ways which encourage positive feelings and respect for all. This is a great place to learn. Together we will ensure that Britain continues to be a great place to live.
The PREVENT Strategy:
- Responds to the ideological challenge of terrorism and extremism and the threat from those who promote it.
- Aims to prevent people from being drawn into terrorism and ensures that those at risk are given appropriate advice and support.
- Works with a range of sectors, including schools and Colleges where there are risks of extremism and radicalisation.
- Covers all forms of terrorism, including far right extremism and some aspects of non-violent extremism.
